Each issue publishes outside voices on the long work of keeping America's promise to those who served alongside our troops.

Submissions
The Counterpart publishes researchers, partners, veterans, and allies whose work expands public understanding of the wartime ally experience. We accept complete drafts of essays, research summaries, first-person reflections, and policy analyses, generally between 800 and 2,500 words.

Submissions are reviewed by the No One Left Behind communications team. We typically respond within 4–6 weeks. Not every submission can be published, but every submission is read.
