FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ARLINGTON, Va., (Oct. 13, 2023) – No One Left Behind and Allied Airlift 21, two non-profit organizations committed to serving our Afghan allies, are set to become one. The merger, effective January 1, 2024, is the result of months of strategic planning and collaboration between both organizations. By combining resources, expertise and networks, No One Left Behind will scale its operations to assist beneficiaries on a larger scale while continuing Allied Airlift 21’s remarkable legacy.

"Today marks an exciting new chapter as Allied Airlift 21 joins forces with No One Left Behind. Though our organizations have distinct histories, our missions have always been aligned - to serve those who served us. By combining our capabilities and resources, we can make an even greater impact and help more of our Afghan allies to start new lives here,” explained France Hoang, Allied Airlift 21 Board Chairman. “This merger brings together the best of both nonprofits and allows us to leverage our collective skills, experiences and passion for this important cause. I'm inspired by what we've already accomplished separately and cannot wait to see how much more we can achieve together. Our allies deserve no less from us."

"It takes two wings to fly and a shared commitment to leave no one left behind. That's why Allied Airlift 21 and No One Left Behind are a natural merger made to take off. I couldn't be more proud to be a part of this combined organization that will further ensure our promises to allies are kept and our impact soars,” said Mike Mitchell, No One Left Behind Executive Director.

Allied Airlift 21 volunteers and supporters will be welcomed into No One Left Behind as the organization works to fulfill America’s promise to our 152,000 allies remaining in Afghanistan. No One Left Behind aims to amplify its impact by serving 10,000 in 2024 through its evacuation, resettlement and advocacy efforts.

About No One Left BehindNo One Left Behind (NOLB) is the oldest charitable organization focused specifically on supporting former interpreters and U.S. government employees eligible for the Iraqi and Afghan Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) programs.
