“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to No One Left Behind for the assistance and support they have provided during this difficult time. Your help has made a meaningful difference for my family when we needed it most. We are sincerely thankful for your kindness, compassion, and continued support of Afghan allies and their families.

Evacuation & Sustainment
What We're Doing Now
No One Left Behind does three things for allies still waiting on America's promise: we manage their cases through the SIV process, we sustain them financially and legally while they wait, and we coordinate evacuation flights when those flights are possible to run.
Since January 1, 2026, the U.S. government has suspended SIV visa issuance, which means there is currently no visa for an ally to fly on. Even an approved, COM-cleared ally has nowhere to travel to.
NOLB has not abandoned flight coordination. We have a standing budget reserved for it, and we are actively developing third-country relocation pathways for allies who cannot safely remain where they are. But until U.S. processing resumes, flights are paused by policy, not by choice.
In the meantime, our work is keeping people alive, documented, and ready to move the day that changes.

How NOLB’s Evacuation & Sustainment Process Works
1Case intake and eligibility review
Allies reach out to NOLB directly or through partner organizations. Our team reviews each case to understand the individual's SIV status, documentation, current location, and immediate needs.
2Case support
NOLB provides guidance on SIV processing steps, document requirements, visa extensions, exit permits, and other legal status issues. Our legal team manages active cases for allies in the United States and abroad.
3Sustainment assistance
For allies in third countries awaiting SIV processing, NOLB provides monthly financial assistance for rent, food, utilities, and essential medical care. Monthly stipends are disbursed directly to individuals and families.
4Flight coordination (currently paused)
NOLB maintains a standing budget and operational readiness to resume flight coordination once U.S. visa processing reopens. That capability has not gone away. It is waiting on a policy decision NOLB does not control.
5Arrival support
Once allies arrive in the United States, NOLB connects them with resettlement partners in 45 states and provides direct financial assistance, case management, and longer-term support.

In 2025, we spent $4.5 million on evacuation flights. In 2026, every dollar goes to keeping allies alive and stable while the policy door is closed. The need has not stopped.
