New York, NY—Afghan Future Fund (AFF) and No One Left Behind (NOLB) are proud to announce the first round of awardees for the America’s Allies Scholarship Program (AASP), a landmark program that provides financial assistance on a competitive basis to Afghan and Iraqi Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) holders who served with U.S. Armed Forces, enabling them to pursue a college degree or professional training in the United States.
AASP received over 800 applications, reflecting the extraordinary demand for educational opportunities among these courageous individuals. After a competitive selection process, over 21 awardees were chosen to receive scholarships totaling over $110,000 in funding.
Each recipient receives up to $15,000 in financial support to pursue an accredited college degree, vocational training, or professional certification in the United States. The funding will be used across a range of areas, including Mechanical-Electrical Technology, Business, Dental Hygiene, Psychology and more.
The program will run for the 2025-2026 academic year, during which awardees will also benefit from mentorship, community engagement, and access to AFF and NOLB’s wider networks of support.
“More than anything else, education is the key that can unlock human potential,” said Vance Serchuk, Chairman of the Afghan Future Fund. “This program enables our allies to pursue new lives grounded in learning, empowerment, and service.”
“No One Left Behind is honored to support this effort,” said Andrew Sullivan, Executive Director of NOLB. “These scholarships reflect our ongoing commitment to the brave men and women who stood with us. We’re proud to help them pursue a brighter future here in the U.S.”
